Inteligent Crows

What exactly makes us different from animals?
One of the answers to this difficult question is that humans posses the ability to plan a number of steps toward a future goal and to modify them through trial and error, and through the abstract mental formulation of the next step to follow. However, this answer is very limiting if we consider the animal shown in the attached video. In a  city of Japan, crows have learned to live in urban environment completely foreign from their natural habitats. And they have develop sophisticated techniques to succeed in the middle of the concrete of the city. Apparently, the expression "bird brain" is not as valid as previously thought.
